Speedcheck was superceeded by Ants+ Companion in September 2002. At the request of many players, we gave a grace period of two months to convert to the new software, given the requirement for the .net Framework (a 20mb download). Now that the grace period of time has passed, Speedcheck has closed and been taken offline.

As an interest to the statisticians among the Ants Community (and for the archives). Over the 6 months Speedcheck was in operation, 661 users were registered and confirmed, and a further 384 that did not confirm themselves with the Ants+ Staff - giving a total of 1,045 accounts on SC over the 6 months it operated - from the beta in May 2002 until the day the plug was pulled on November 23rd 2002.
